Can't link xiaomi home and google home anymore

Kamoulocks

Hi,

I'm able to link my xiaomi home account and my google assistant.

When i try, i got a error message that tell me this :

could not reach mi home, please try again.

Tried to reboot the phone, uninstall/reinstall Xiaomi home app and google home app.

It suddenly stop to work so i deleted the link between the 2 account and now i can't make the setup again, always the same error message.

Any tips please ?

Thank you.

Hey guys! I found a temporally fix.

You must use the samsung smart things app and sync it with your yeelight/xiaomi account. If your smart device dose not appear in the yeelight app, you have to install an older version that can connect to mijia bulbs. I found a russian version that works just fine for my MJDPL01YL. https://eda-studio.ru/apk/transl/com.yeelight.cherry.apk

Sync your smart things app with the yeelight account and all your bulbs will appear in the samsung app.

Connect your samsung smart things app with your google home app and your bulbs should appear.

This is a temporally fix that i found after 2 days of no sleep. I don't think it is the best but it works.

Google's local home sdk dose not work with this.

I think there is a google problem because the samsung app worked just fine. I think it also works with bixby.

Google please fix it.

The link was successful but the devices are still offline

Close both mi home and google home apps, Reboot your phone and that should solve this offline problem.

Problem seems to be fixed now, it works fine in India. Tried just now and I'm able to relink mi home account and all devices back in google home app. Thanks everyone for pitching in your voice and to Xiaomi and Google teams for solving the problem!!

I found a solution fellas. No need of any yeelight or any third party.

1. Create a new room in Google home

2. Add device --> Link net work --> Search MI Home

3. Enter credentials and your MI account will be linked again.

Enjoy!

Germany checking in. Got a new "YEELIGHT LED Smart Meteorite Chandelier Pendant Light". All is well in the Mi Home app but when I try to connect to Mi Home or Yeelight services from Google Home app and follow steps it ends up with Google Home crashing.

Still not working for me in Hungary

you have to remove MI Home from the Google Home APP.
Then update Mi Home.
Then reopen Google Home and  add MI Home as a partner

This should bring up the link between the APPs.

That's what I did in Portugal and it worked.

Hi,

I've link my Mi Home app with the Google home app.  I've got the door sensor to show up in the Google home app.  But the gateway, temp and humidity sensor and wireless switch still aren't showing up.  Just curious if there is something obvious I didn't do.  They work fine in the Mi Home app but not in Google home.

Thanks.

I have a similar same problem. Although I could not link my Mi Home with Google Home anymore starting about a month ago. I finally gave up and started using the Yeelight account that allowed me to link and control my LED light bulbs with Google home.

It at least worked to get back light control.

Maybe Google is sabotaging the Mi Home app because Xiaomi is so much more successful selling products than Google?
