Can't remove "water the plant" daily reminder

some time ago I received a marketing email suggesting setting a reminder to water the plants.

now, every single evening I get all the nest devices trumpeting loud the reminder.


I want to disable the reminder but I can't find it anywhere, it's not to be found on the display, on the phone, on the home app, on the calendar app or browser version.

I am seriously frustrated now!

can you visit and see if the reminders appear there?  

If not, then  on what device did you add the reminder from, as that is where we should look. 


Unfortunately it's not on the calendar, web or app. I did search online before posting and that was the first port of call.

Like many other people in my situation the answer is not there.

I should add, the reminder runs on all devices at the same time.

If I ask any of my devices, there are no reminders.

Under all possible menus of my display I can't find it either.

I also tried looking on the home app, short of disabling every reminder I can't find this one specific.

Okay, so last resort option would be....factory reset every device... And delete the entire home from the Google home app.. and start from scratch.  I know it sounds crazy but it will work. 

Jeez!!! That's a lot of scrubbing, one step short of burning the house down ! 😄

I would really like to avoid that, I have so many devices in the house, I dread the thought of re- connect every single plug / lightbulb / doorbell/ camera!

I understand this is the nuclear option, but for Pete's sake there must be a way to visualise where these reminders are? They can possibly get lost in the ether!

What was Google <expletive> thinking???
