There is a note at the top of the screen that I can't edit because I am not on the wifi.
This change is very inconvenient as I manage all of the settings on Google Home for my mother who is 80 years old. I rotate pictures in and out of the ambient mode for her. Now I can't. The last changes I made were in July and then in this month. I can not confirm that the images are being properly shown on her chromecast ambient mode.
Is there a setting to allow editing of the ambient mode when not connecting to wifi. If not WHY was such a change made. If I don't want ambient mode edited by others, I can choose not to share with them, or many other ways to control such a thing. To make physical presence a necessity is ridiculous, especially since I can't even use RDP to connect to her local network and confirm the changes since I can only see those settings in the Google HOME app.
This is very frustrating.

Hi nana44,
Thanks for reaching out. We hear you — we can understand why you feel that way. Editing of the ambient mode when not connected to Wi-Fi is not supported. I'd suggest you submit feedback about it. See the article below on how to do it.
