Google Home not linking to Cync account

I was able to connect my Cync Tunable White Direct Connect Smart Bulb to my Google Home app but when I got to Home Control to link my Home app to Cync and log in, it doesn't do anything. It doesn't even give me a notification, only time it would give me something is if I put the wrong password/email. The bulb light is yellow and would like to set it to daylight when I wake up but it states it doesn't know how to help with it. What am I missing? Please help!!!

Hey EvieBelle,

Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry for the trouble this may have caused you.

Could you try removing your light from the Cync app and directly set it up in your Google Home app? Try these steps:

  1. Plug the smart light in the same room as the speaker or display, then turn it on.
  2. Open the Google Home app. Make sure it's running the most recent version.
  3. At the top left, tap Add > Set up device > New device.
  4. The speaker or display starts to scan for nearby devices that are ready for setup.
  5. Select the device to set up.
  6. Confirm bridging is enabled for the Wi-Fi router
  7. Room Selection: Choose the room where the bulb is.
Tip: Customers can create a custom room by tapping Add custom room > type in room name > Next.
  8. Create a unique name > type in the name for the light.
  9. Choose the home Wi-Fi network.
  10. The Assistant begins to set up the smart light. The bulb may blink a few times.
  11. When the light is ready, tap Done.

Looking forward to your response.

Best,

Alex
