Google Home says I dont have access to service

I dont know that this is a login or connection issie, but none of the categories fits.

A week or so ago instead of opening normally, my Google Home app opens a small window that says I don't have access to the service. I can't see or access anything.

  • I'm the only user. It's my account and my home. Nothing has changed on my Samsung Galaxy S10, except there was a Samsung update a week or 2 ago. I've restarted the phone, updated the app, restarted again, etc., but the issues persists.

Nevermind. I got it. For some mysterious reason, it was using my college account (which uses Google)instead of my personal account  No way to access the app to fix it, so I deleted my college account from my phone. Once it was gone, the app had no choice but to use the right account.

 

Pretty stupid way to fix a glitch, but at least it worked.
