Google stats " Can' find Geeni"

So for several month, the Geeni App and the lights connected with it, worked. Somedays better, some days not so. But since a few days, Google answers " Can't find geeni" even the app was not removed or anything. Tried to reinstall and link everything, nothing works. All lights work, if i go directly into the geeni app, but google will not work with the geeni app. Both, google and geeni, are on the same network. Restarted several times all google devices, checked all, google and geeni, for updates--everything is up to date.

Hi @SmartFarmHome,

Thanks for posting here in the community. I'm sorry to hear that the Google Home app is unable to find the Geeni lights. Help's here!

I appreciate all the efforts made. To better assist you, I'd like to ask a couple of questions:

  • What is the model of your Nest device?
  • What is the make and model of your phone?

In addition, let's try the following steps:

  • Make sure your Google Home app, Nest device, and smart light bulbs are all on the same Wi-Fi network. Preferably, the network should be operating on the 2.4 GHz band. If you use a bridge, ensure it's also connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Ensure your mobile device and Google Home device are linked to the same Google account.
  • Update your mobile device to the latest software version, if available.
  • Restarting your router can help refresh the connection.
  • Try clearing the Geeni app cache.
  • Rename your lights and avoid using the same name or special characters.
  • Check if your light bulbs are linked in the Google Home app by going to the Google Home app and scrolling to Local Devices
    • If you don't see your lights, force-close the Google Home app and try again.
    • If you still don’t see your lights, set up your lights again in the Google Home app.
  • Say the voice command, “Hey Google, sync all devices." You can learn more in the next article: Control smart home devices added to the Google Home app.

Let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
