New version of Home App does not show current status of smart lock?

Since the lastest rehaul of the google home app look. My Smart lock no longer shows up as green in the google home app when it is locked or blue when unlocked.

It just shows a lock symbol without any details. The app already never gave an option to lock/unlock within but this new update requires me to open the lock app to figure out the status which is inconvenient.

Use the nest app. Google home was written when the software designers were on vacation.  They hired 5 year olds gave them crayons and said design a home hub app.  Google kept the app.  Use the nest app it actually works

Hi there!

I would like the home app to show with a visual indication whether the smart lock is locked or unlocked as it did previously. Now it does not.

Thanks
