No presence setting option in Google Home App on IOS

I fully migrated my Nest Cameras to Google home because home/away assist stopped working at all on the Nest App.  Trying to set it up on Google Home and there is no Presence Sensing setting in the home-->settings menu.  Not greyed out, simply not there.  Locations services for Google Home in the app settings are set to always, Nest app is fully deleted on all devices.  Home and Away automations fail due to no presence sensing.

This is very frustrating, it was so simple in the old Nest App.

Hi @Kohuoro

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community Forum. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble setting up the Presence sensing feature in the Google Home app and can't find the option. I understand how frustrating this can be. No worries; I'm here to help you.

To provide you with accurate information, please help me out by answering the following questions:

In the meantime, let’s try to follow the next steps.

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. At the top right, tap your Profile picture or Initial.
  3. Tap Home settings then Presence sensing.
  4. Turn off Allow this home to use phone locations, then tap Turn off.
  5. Turn off all other devices selected to help start presence-based automations.

After that, please activate your location.

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. At the top right, tap your Profile picture or Initial.
  3. Tap Home settings, then the name of the home you’re in, and then Home address.
  4. Type in the address. Touch and hold, then drag the map to pin your home.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Daniel
