Samsung TV doesent respond to Google Home

I have a Samsung NU7402 TV. The TV is compatible with SmartThings. I connected Google Home with SmartThings. After turning off the TV and waiting a few minutes, the TV stops responding to Google Home. The TV is permanently connected to Wi-Fi even when it is turned off. When the TV is on corresponds to Google Home

My apologies for the delays. I know how challenging it is when you're having issues controlling your Samsung TV using your Google Home/Nest device. A few questions: when did the issue start? What type of Google Home/Nest device do you have? Are you able to control your TV using the native app?

 

Let's go ahead and try following the steps shared by @MikeClark. Also, I suggest that you reboot your speaker and router by disconnecting them from the power source, and leave it unplugged for 1 minute. Once done, plug the devices one at a time with intervals.

I have Google Nest Hub gen 2, Samsung UE65NU7402, Samsung S20FE. I have reset all these devices and the Wi-Fi router many times and tried different configurations because this problem is bothering me. I also disconnected these devices from the power supply for 10 minutes. It didn't do anything. The problem, in my opinion, lies somewhere between the Google Home and SmartThings apps. The TV responds to Google Home up to 5 minutes after turning off. After 5 minutes it stops responding. When I recconnect the SmartThings application in Google Home again, I can control the TV again. As if after about 5 minutes, the SmartThings or Google Home application goes into standby mode.

Hey Szaniak,

 

Great observation! To confirm, do you have the same issue when using the Google Assistant app on your phone? Also, do you notice an issue when controlling your TV manually from the native and Google Home app?

TV does not respond to Google Nest and Google Assistant on the phone and Google Home app. SmartThings on the phone always turns on Tv.

Sorry for the delays. I suggest that you contact your TV manufacturer so you can check if your TV is compatible with the specific action via voice command using a Nest Hub.
