One of my 4 access points hasn't worked in a few weeks. I bought a new (later version, refurbished) one. Upon trying to connect it using the spectacularly useless Home App, the entire network went down. Now, I have $450 worth of hardware that's worth $0. All thanks to the fact the Home App doesn't actually DO anything. Tried hard-resetting the main access point, which led to the Home App telling me I was offline. Then, when prompted for the QR code, the app claimed to have found it while I was pointing my phone at the (blank) wall. Dear Google, if you going to follow Apple in making new devices that render former devices unusable, please let your userbase know in advance so we can avoid your products entirely.
