Why does the Google Home app only work when it’s on WiFi, whereas I can view Nest app on 4G?

Google app only works when my iPhone is on WiFi whereas my Nest app works when I am on 4G. Why is that and how do I make it so I can see my home cameras etc when I am travelling and not on a WiFi network

Hey there Matthew,

I apologize for my late response, I really appreciate your patience! The Google Home app is supposed to function as normal, whether on Wi-Fi or mobile data. Here are a couple of the articles I read on the subject, first how to stream your camera on a Google Nest display, and another article on internet requirements for Nest cameras. I would check out both of those articles and make sure everything is set up properly, then see if you still have an issue.

I hope this helps! If you had any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!

Best regards,

Jeran
