Will Nest App replaced by Google Home App in future

I found the new Nest Cam(battery) could setup to connect wifi thru Google Home App but not Nest App. Will the Nest App stop to update and replaced by Google Home App totally in future. If yes, are the Old models like Nest IQ indoor would Google Home App to setup if removed from Nest App?

I am very confused with these two App, Seems the Nest App has more function than Google home App
