air conditioner linked via AC app but offline in Google home app

I have two Panasonic Eolia air conditioners linked to Google home through the Eolia (エオリア) app. I can control them through that app. They appear as expected in the Google home app, but they are always offline in Google home. I chose these particular air conditioners specifically because they could be voice controlled via Google home, but Google has failed me yet again. Any trick to getting these units working with Google home?

Hi there!

It's frustrating that your Panasonic Eolia air conditioners aren't showing online in Google Home even though they're connected through the Eolia app. Here are a few things you can try to fix the issue:

 Restart Everything:

  • Power Cycle: Turn off your air conditioners at the breaker for a few minutes, then turn them back on. This can sometimes clear up communication glitches.
  • Restart the Eolia App and Google Home app: Close the apps completely, then relaunch them on your phone.
  • Reboot your phone: A simple phone restart can sometimes resolve app connectivity issues.

. Check the Eolia App Settings:

  • Ensure Google Home Integration is Enabled: Make sure there's an option within the Eolia app to enable integration with Google Home. Double-check that this feature is turned on.

Verify Google Home Settings:

  • Match Nicknames: Make sure the nicknames you assigned to your air conditioners in the Eolia app exactly match the names they have in Google Home.
  • Google Assistant Permissions: Confirm that Google Assistant has permission to access location and other necessary features on your phone. These permissions might be required to communicate with your air conditioners.

Re-link the Accounts:

  • Try unlinking your Eolia account from Google Home and then relinking them. This can sometimes refresh the connection.

Check for Compatibility Issues:

  • While Panasonic Eolia models should generally be compatible with Google Home, there's a slight chance there might be a known incompatibility with your specific model or firmware version.

If none of these solutions work, it might be best to contact Panasonic support for further assistance.

Best,

Brandon.
