How do I remove an unrecognized device from my Google home app in the Wi-Fi section? I have some unrecognized devices and I am not finding a way on how to delete them out

Update: Spoke to the Nest Wifi team and the unnamed and offline devices should roll off at about 30 days of no connection. If the device is online and unnamed you can pause it.

Hope that helps with your question.

Hi again, overkillz.

I'm just checking in once more to see if you were still needing some help on this or if you were all sorted out.

Thanks.

Hi overkillz,

We brought this as an escalation to our Nest team a few months back. The reply from the support team was that those devices will fall off the list at some point (I will have to research how long that was) but there was no way to manually remove devices showing on that list.

I'll dig around for that time frame and post back.

There are some WiFi devices that still who up in the list on the app, in the grey-ed out zone. I would like purge them all (and get notified if any of them re-connect).

How can I do this?

Hi wido,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm afraid that we don't have an option to edit the device list manually for now. These grayed out devices should automatically drop off the list if they don't reconnect after a period of time. Our team is always looking for ways to improve and we'll take this as feedback.

Thanks,

Edward
