Hey Google Home & Nest Community,
Since we first launched the Gemini for Home early access program, there has been significant interest in receiving invitations and questions about the rollout. We know many of you are eager to join, and we appreciate your patience as we work diligently to increase the pace of the rollout.
Over the past few weeks we have rolled out invites to the Gemini for Home voice assistant early access program to millions of households in the US. Your feedback on, and very active use of, this early access has been instrumental in helping us make improvements. Starting today not only are we going to start sending out invitations more rapidly, but also anyone1 in the US who hasn’t already received an invitation to early access can sign up and receive an invitation within 24 hours. We’re also enabling third party speaker devices as well. It’s possible that you missed your very own invitation, so if you’re not sure, check your Home settings in the Google Home app if you’d like to get going with Gemini for Home.
So, if you’re interested, give Gemini for Home a try! We want your feedback as we roll out improvements. The best way to make sure your feedback gets to the team is to say, “Hey Google, send feedback”, or on the dedicated community thread. Your feedback during this critical phase is invaluable.
And, please see our list of known issues and what to expect from Gemini for Home in early access.
We are so grateful for all your help and support, folks! We can't wait for you to experience talking to Gemini on your devices. Sign up today and share your thoughts with the team!
Thanks,
Mark, Product Lead, Gemini for Home voice assistant
1 In certain, rare circumstances, a sign-up for early access will not immediately result in an invitation if the home contains an incompatible device or account.
