We’ve heard some users share frustrations with camera scrubbing in the Google Home app, especially when compared to the beloved Nest app. We are happy to announce that with the release of Google Home app 3.33, we’ve substantially improved framerate and loading performance for a smoother overall experience when viewing and scrolling events on the camera timeline! These improvements are available on Android first with iOS to follow in a future Google Home app update.
From our internal testing, we’ve found that these changes have significantly improved the average scrubbing frame rate and reduced the fraction of time spent loading or frozen.
