Let me guess, only for the latest model, screwing everyone who owns the original again.

Just to be clear, mine and others failed to get the July 4th chimes as well on the Nest wired.

I have 13 GE C smart light bulbs, 1 nest thermostat, 1 google TV, 1 GE C smart plug. It’s too much for 1 Google mini. If I add another mini and a google home will that fix my issue?

You know what would be really nice if you money bags at google who are busy buying up every business in the world, would put on your pointy caps and figure out how we small business owners, who have made the mistake of using google business suite, and now not a single one of their connected devises, if tied to google, will work with an email address you've had your entire business career because its tied to a G-suite account. That's what I need from you. That's just what need to have, another gmail account.  Seriously, were the programmers not getting enough grass fed butter and shots of expresso followed by avocado toast, were the loafers just too tight and return blood to the brain compromised or was the weed that week just too beyond?

Fix your stupidity before attempting new things google. Especially when you buy businesses and integrate them half ass into your overwhelmed systems.

Yes I had nest before you bought it.

"Google still sells the Nest Hello, which is an older version of the Nest Doorbell. Around Christmas and other holidays is when a familiar set of seasonal ringtones comes around. However, the Nest Hello doorbells are not eligible for extra ringtone options other than the classic “ding dong.”Unfortunately, the older Nest Hello won’t get any new ringtones or extra seasonal options." [9to5Google]

Nice, Google Team, for not making all your features available to all the devices you sell as part of your ecosystem. Please fix. Thanks.

If I own nest wired doorbell, will it get any seasonal themes and if yes, what themes and when will they be available. If only some are available and more themes are available on the newer model, please explain why. Thanks.

I've changed my Nest Doorbell to the seasonal Oktoberfest chime in the Google Home app, but the chime when someone pushes the button has not changed. Changing the default doorbell sound changes the chime, but toggling the seasonal chime in does nothing.

I just bought my best wired doorbell only to find out I can’t change the doorbell theme as promised. Why would I want a battery doorbell when I have a wired connection I never have to fool with? The option for wired users was there and you removed it right after I bought it. Then I find out that the battery versions get them. Why did Google do this????

Any reason why I cannot get the seasonal ringtones on my Nest Doorbell (wired)?

Why is the seasonal theme not shwoing up on Google Home App for me?  I ahve a wired doorbell and I cannot change the seasonal theme.

Having ring tone options is really an unimportant option, especially when they don't become available when announced. It is now Sept. 10, and the Oktoberfest ringtone (stated availability Sept, 5-Oct. 5) is still not available on our Google Nest Hello Doorbells.

What would really be helpful would be if Google Nest delivered on these commitments made by Google Nest Vice President Rishi Chandra in Sept. 2021:

"we are committed to bringing the experiences and Nest devices you have come to love in the Nest app into the Home app."

"we’ve also been working on rolling out a desktop experience for the Google Home app, so the new Nest cameras and doorbell feeds can be viewed and controlled from there. This will launch in 2022."

"we commit to being more transparent with you on where we are taking the camera portfolio."

"We are excited to share that we will be launching a 2nd generation of Nest Doorbell (wired) in 2022."

But there has been no update whatsoever since this was posted on Sept. 29, 2021.

Not for our Google Nest Hello Doorbells either.  But then, the last time they weren't available either.

I did not get any thesed ring tones on Sept 5th.

Google - you're a mystery to me.

Why would you roll this feature out to only the new Nest Doorbell when you've supported the capability for years with the Nest Hello? It's not like we're going to upgrade (downgrade in many ways) our doorbells to get seasonal tones.

Honestly, this is emblematic of the entire transition Nest to Google Home; inconsistent experiences, broken promises, and absolutely terrible product management. I'm disappointed, and will be moving away from your products in the future and advising others not to use them as well.

@mmalcangio  I am doing the same thing. I have already started by buying Alexa echo 4th gen and they’re motion sensors built in are awesome and work so well.

Will there be a way to change the chime volume on a Google Home speaker that is separate from the music volume so we will be able to hear the chimes when someone rings the doorbell when the music level is set low?

Please help me understand why I had the option for holiday ring tones last year, and this year you have decided not to support my Hello? I have been a great supporter of Google and its products, but with this treatment, i think I will choose a different camera and security system for my home. I expect more than 1 year of support for a product that costs this.

Agree I have the wired nest why would I “upgrade “ to battery makes no sense I would like the holiday chimes. But the battery only supports holiday chimes ??   Anyone plan on replying to give a reason why we are not getting the chimes ?

I did not get the Oktoberfest theme, but I did get the Halloween theme chime.  I have a Nest Wired Doorbell.  Just wanted to let you know as I know some of us did not get them last time.

@BronxBombers Google clarified on Twitter that the older Nest Hello will receive the seasonal themes they used to, but the new holidays and themes will only be for the new Nest Doorbells.

And Google Nest can't simply tell us that?

As of today (Oct. 2), the "Doorbell theme" option on our Google Nest Hello Doorbells has been restored, with one option (besides "Ding-dong"): "Spooky sounds".

mmalcangio

@MplsCustomer Right? It would have been much better for Google just state "the new themes will only be available for the new Nest Doorbell via the Google Home app. For customers of the older of the Nest Hello, we will continue to offer the prior seasonal themes but no themes will be added."

Google is a pos company that owes nobody anything other than to continue fleecing customers to support their stock price. I only look for non google products because that's how you communicate with idiot companies
