100% error rate when clicking google nest doorbell notification - Force kill app fixes it every time

Does anyone else see this or have a solution? Whenever my doorbell sends me a notification that someone is at the door, if I click the notification, 100 out of 100 times I am taken to the camera screen with a loading spinner that never goes away. 100 out of 100 times if I force kill the app and reopen it, and open the camera. It shows the live view right away. Something about clicking the notification to go into the app causes it to not connect every time. Which makes the product completely useless, as usually by the time you can kill the app and get it up and running the person has already left the door. Any suggestions?

Its the wired Gen 2 doorbell.

Hello eclair4151,

I’m sorry to hear you're having a hard time with your Nest doorbell notifications. Let's try to figure this out together. Just to confirm a few things. Is this affecting any other devices? Have you tried restarting your phone or reinstalling the Google Home app?

I look forward to your response.

Best,
Edmond
