1Google Nest Cam IQ Outdoor NC4100US

Google Nest Cam IQ Outdoor NC4100US. My Nest cam is streaming with a pink hue..  I believe that the nest Cam IQ is a better camera than the current rendition. I am getting a continuous pink hue in my feed. I have tried most recommended  Steps to troubleshoot the issue and have gotten nowhere. I would like to replace the camera but Google is not offering this camera anymore and it is more expensive than a than the initial msrp, to buy it from a 3rd party vendor or eBay. Is there a fix to this camera or am I just out of luck?

Hi, I'm an end user like you.  I had that same issue about a year ago with my outdoor IQ.  Google does not repair any products.  They only send you a replacement if it is still in warranty.

I ended up buying a regular Outdoor (non-IQ) from ebay at a pretty low cost and it has been working great ever since. I have learned that the Outdoor IQ is not that much better given how much extra it costs.  The non-IQ works fine for me.

Hope this helps.

Hey folks,

eusoro, I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. No worries, we'll check this out. If your screen shows a pink or purple tint, you can try the following steps:

  1. If the Night Vision settings are on Auto, switch it to Manual. Then, manually toggle the setting on and off. Observe the feed to check if the pink or purple tint goes away when they toggle the Night Vision settings off.
  2. Unplug the camera from the power source, wait for 30 seconds, and plug the camera back in. If you have a Nest Cam (battery) or Nest Doorbell (battery), you must also restart your Nest camera or doorbell.
  3. Ensure the camera is installed in a supported location and not in an area prone to overheat or direct sunlight.

Note: Overheating can cause issues with video feed quality. Try to move the camera from a warm location to a cooler area to help resolve the issue.

  1. Try to unplug the camera from its power source and reposition it after it’s had sufficient time to cool.

I appreciate the help, EmptyNester.

Thanks,

Archie
