1st Gen Nest Camera wired indoor

We upgraded to the newest gen indoor nest camera. I need to factory reset my old ones.

We have tired BOTH a thumbtack and a paperclip in the "reset" hole on the base by the neck. Thete seems to be on resistance when pressing. This does not work for factory resetting. Any other suggestions?

Some older cameras do NOT have a reset button.

Your "specific guidance" link does NOT link to any official Nest support page; instead, it links to a page for downloading some sort of soccer app. That's not appropriate.

There is no reset pin on the 1st gen indoor camera; you factory reset it by removing it from the Google Nest app:

It has the hole for the reset option. I have contacted Google and looked on their website...and it still does not work.

Google Nest says there is no reset button:

"There is no factory reset button on Nest Cam Indoor, Nest Cam Outdoor, or Dropcam. To reset one of these cameras, simply remove it from your account."
