Hi Beehis,

Thanks for reaching out! Got it, thanks for letting us know. Let's check this out — a few questions:

  1. Is your Nest Cam Outdoor’s cable securely connected to the power adapter?
  2. Are there any kinks or frays in the cable?
  3. Are there damages on the cable.
  4. Have you tried another wall outlet?
  5. Does the USB cable fit snugly into the port on the adapter?

Going over the steps here might help:

  • Push and twist the USB connector into place. Then, plug the adapter into a power outlet.
  • Move the camera and plug it into a different working power outlet.
  • Unplug the power adapter from the power outlet and from the locking USB cable that connects to the camera.
  • Make sure that the camera cable and adapter are securely connected.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

JT

I brought the camera inside and plugged it in.  This is what I am finding.  When I plug in the adapter the camera works fine, but when I turn the round to match up with the dot the camera dies??????

Thank You

Berni
