24/7 Streaming of Nest

I would like to cast a streaming of two of my 2021 Nest devices (doorbell and camera) 24/7. Plan is to mount an iPad by the front door so we can view the doorbell footage at all times and use one of the cameras as a continuous feed baby monitor. The issue is that after 15ish minutes of streaming the live video, an error message pops up that says “Live video unavailable. The camera may be unreachable or saving battery”. Doorbell is wired in for power (NOT battery operated). How can I fix this to see the live stream continuously 24/7?

Is your doorbell the older Google Nest Hello Doorbell or the newer Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) wired to your doorbell wires? (Since you're getting a "saving battery" message, I'm guessing it's the latter.) If you have the newer battery doorbell, this new doorbell apparently always operates in battery mode even when it is wired, with the battery being trickle-charged at a rate low enough to avoid tripping your chime. As a result, LOTS of customers (see the link below) are reporting problems keeping the doorbell's battery charged, especially in cooler weather.  Given these concerns, I wonder (just as another Google Nest customer) whether the battery doorbell, even when wired, can support lengthy live-streaming. The thread below has lots of comments from other customers about the functionality of the battery doorbell.

Thanks for the response. Yes, it is the newer Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) (purchased in December 2021). It seems like that is the exact issue I'm having - Even though the doorbell is hardwired in, it is operating in battery mode, which is why it won't stream 24/7 (or really any longer than about 15 minutes at a time). We are in Philadelphia, PA, so colder temps this time of year too. This is incredibly frustrating and disappointing.

Hey folks,

Thank you for your feedback on this issue, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest Cams in the Nest App or available on https://bit.ly/3HtBgJC web app. I can imagine having to use two different apps at the moment is quite daunting, and could lead to frustration.

However, the new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support. I am more than happy to assist you further with this inquiry if you wish. Please let me know.

Best Regards,

Brad.

Brad - I don't think your response addressed my question. My issues are with 24/7 streaming availability (not having to use two apps). Can you advise?
