24/7 recording

So I have a Google outdoor cam that I connected with a solar panel so it charges 24/7, I have the paid subscription, and I want this camera to be able to record 24/7 so I can review it, but I don't see any option to do so

@Whitephang

You're not the first customer to discover this.  Google Nest does not explicitly state this, but the battery camera cannot record 24/7 when connected to a solar panel because:

"If you’ve connected your Nest Cam (battery) to the Wasserstein Solar Panel, the panel doesn’t directly power the camera. Instead, the battery is trickle charged by the panel, and the camera runs off the battery charge."

https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/11830989

And here Google Nest says:

"The Nest Cam (battery) must be connected to a power source to have 24/7 video history. If your camera is battery powered, it will only have event video history, even if you have a Nest Aware Plus subscription."

https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9681538

So therefore, because the camera is running off of battery power when connected to a solar panel, it cannot record 24/7.

We have a battery camera plugged in to household current and it IS able to record 24/7.

Thanks, that's very disappointing
