2nd Gen Wired Doorbell Night Vision

I know there was a thread in December regarding the doorbell not switching to night vision. 

I am experiencing this same issue. I've reset the doorbell itself but the problem persists. 

Has there been any resolution?

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community and for sharing with us your concern. Let's see what we can do here. If your Nest Camera doesn’t automatically switch to or from Night Vision when lighting conditions change you might experience a pink, blue or purple hue when watching your Nest Camera’s video stream.


Give these steps a try:

1. Make sure that Night Vision is set to Auto.

In the Home app:

  • On the home screen, select your Nest Camera that you want.
  • Tap Video.
  • Under Night Vision, select from Always on, Auto or Off.

In the Nest app:

  • On the home screen, select your Nest Camera that you want.
  • Tap Settings Nest settings icon  Night Vision.
  • You can toggle the switch to Off, Auto or Always on.

2. Check that outdoor lights don’t shine into your Nest Camera lens. In some cases, bright lights can delay or prevent your Nest Camera from switching to Night Vision.

3. Reset your Night Vision settings or restart your Nest Camera. Which method you’ll use depends on which app you use to set up your Nest Camera.
