2nd gen nest doorbell

Somehow the live video works just fine and suddenly stops working, saying like i need to check the power or wi-fi connection, so i go to check the camera and the light is green meaning like is working but on the app says there's an error, few hours later on activities, i can see myself checking the camera, i think i tried everything like check any posible  configuration so i don't know what to do at this point, this is so disappointing! and by the way, this camera is facing my back yard, on my front yard i got a Ring camera and never ever had this issue. This will be the second time that i return a nest camera. Just to be clear there's no issue with the power (because i got a dedicated circuit and a separate transformer for that camera) and my wi-fi connection is also working just fine.

Thank you for posting here in the community. I'm sorry that you're having troubles with your Nest camera 2nd Gen that isn't showing the live video, and also there are WiFi connection issues. I understand how frustrating it could be when this is the second time that this happens. But don't worry; let me help you.

 

I'd like to confirm some additional information about your Nest Camera 2nd Gen:

 

  • When did the issue start?
  • Are you getting any error messages?
  • How far is the camera from the router?
  • Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the camera?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
  • Did you recently change a new router or make a recent move?
  • Did you make any changes to the router's password?
  • Have you recently had power outages in your home?
