3 "free hours" of video history on the 2nd generation nest wired camera

Question about this 'free 3 hours of video history": so if i have 3 hours of video history on Friday, then shutdown the camera till Monday....will this 3 hours of video history be available on "https://home.net.com" on Sunday? or does this 3 hours of video history automatically expire within the next 3 hours, even though the camera is shut down?

Thanks.

The 3 free hours is exactly that 3 hours once the clock ticks past 3 hours it’s vaporware even if the camera is turned off. It’s useless, buy nest aware

As S3Bryan mentioned, it is 3 hours on the clock, not 3 hours of video storage, so it's not very useful.     Since you mentioned using a web browser, I should also caution you that the cameras new in 2021 work only with the Google Home app, and at the moment, do not have any kind of browser interface.   Google has said that these camera will eventually get a web based portal, but at the moment they are mobile device and Google Hub access only.    The only way to even see the camera video on a PC would be to run an Android emulator, and run Google Home within.  I do that so I can see my cameras on my PC, but of course that is pretty sub-optimal.

And it’s sad they outright refuse to use the nest app, why? Cause the founder of Nest came from Apple and Google can’t stand Apple.  They have to pay them 10 billion a year to be the default browser on Apple products.  But we do get Google Home with crayon drawn icons
