Adding cameras to my nest account

Looking for help. I have the Nest App with a doorbell camera on it and another outdoor camera. I am trying to add the floodlight camera to my nest account. So in my nest account I go to add product and scan the QR code, as soon as i do this the instructions say to add google home. it give me no option to add to my nest account, even though i went through google nest. it defaults automatically to google home so i have 2 platforms

@Paulpro

You have to install your floodlight camera in the Google Home app.

Google Nest decided that the new Google Nest cameras and doors released starting later in 2021 would work ONLY in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app or on home.nest.com.

If all of your cameras are in the same Google Nest "home/structure" and you use the same Google Account to log into both apps, your Nest Aware subscription will cover all of them.

You can also see ALL of your cameras in the new "preview" version of home.google.com made available a few weeks ago.

Hi there,

Thank you for your feedback on this, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest cams in the Nest app like you may be used too. However, you can now use the Google Home web app to view your cameras and doorbells.

The new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support.

Best regards,

Brad
