Alert Visitors - Nest Doorbell Battery

Is there a setting that will alert visitors that they are being recorded without them having to ring the doorbell?

@Kennawhyte

The lights on the doorbell indicate whether the doorbell is recording, whether someone is watching, and whether the doorbell has sensed motion:

Okay. Thank you. I wasn't sure if there was also an auditory alert as well.

Hey Kennawhyte,

Thanks for getting back to us. Just wanted to be sure, when you say if there's an auditory alert, are you referring to the Nest doorbell making a sound while it's recording the event?

All Nest cameras and doorbells have sounds that help you know what's happening (for example, when it restarts). Most of these sounds cannot be changed in settings. Depending on which Nest camera or doorbell you have, you can turn off the tone it plays when you use Talk and Listen, and turn it back on whenever you like. In addition, depending on which Nest doorbell you have, you can change different indoor chime settings. Let us know if you have more questions in mind.

Best,
Emerson
