I'd like to know if you can use the Nest cam or doorbell with a goole workspace (previously Gsuite)  account or if there is some kind of limitation such as the one in nest home speakers ?

Hi there,

Sorry for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I just wanted to make sure that your issue is addressed. Generally when you are setting up a new Nest Device, it is best to start with a non-gsuite account if you can help it. It does have some limitations, and it's best to use a gmail, or other account for your Nest products. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Best Regards,

Brad.

The answer is vague. Sounds like it is possible to use a workspace account.

- So how do we setup using the workspace account. I get stuck in a loop, cannot migrate from to a Gsuite account.

- If Gsuite/Workplace accounts are not supported, when will they be, we pay for the hardware and we pay for the services on gsuite/workplace we should be able to setup our devices accordingly.

- I would appreciate a timely answer, if not possible a roadmap to when it will be possible, otherwise I think its a consumer affairs issue

Hi,
are there any news? I completely agree with Matte. We are paying for two google innovation. Google Nest/Assistant works with a free google account  instead of premium account. So for what reason it is not possible to put it together.

I can say that there is a reason why I am using Google Workspace (private). It is the same reason why I use Google Nest instead of Alexa.

So is there plan, way or what ever to make this happen?

Just received my brand new doorbell and after 5 minutes... already putting it back in the box. Doesn't work with a g suite account as usual with Google..

Thank you Ibouriez.  I find it ironic that your answer is 10x more helpful then the regurgitated "use a personal gmail account" canned response.  I just wanted to know if it would be a waste of money to buy a Nest doorbell since my home of 14 google devices is all configured under a GSuite account.  I guess you might as well buy a Ring doorbell since at least then you don't have to register another email account to set it up...

It seems absolutely ridiculous that one of the largest and richest companies in the world can’t manage to integrate two of their main products together. Lots of people use google workspace and want to use it at home. You can’t have personalised domain names on your gmail and lots of people pay for this and also want to use it for google home products like nest. Just make it happen google. I can’t believe it’s easier to use an Amazon product with google workspace than it is a google product.
