Barking Alerts

I, like many others, have been very disappointed that my nest camera does not send me dog barking alerts. From what I have seen in various places this is a feature that was on the nest app but isn't on the Google Home app. Is this something that is ever going to be added? I'm seriously considering canceling my nest aware subscription and getting a different camera and service. Is there any hope at all for my nest camera?

I assume then, what you have is not a nest camera but a Google camera and that’s the problem. They’ve been promising these “nest” features coming to google home for years. I think also, there’s filtering in the google home camera history for things like barking protection, and other cool stuff but yet they don’t have the capability turned on for those to be alert notifications. Seems like they have most of the infrastructure in place and it wouldn’t be a big jump to get that last piece… which is what we all need.
