Battery Cam - Saving a clip for a non-event

Hi there!

Why can't I save clips for an time interval that was not recognized by the Camera as an event? I can watch the clip in the history, but I can't export it. Very frustrating.

Also, can you please consolidate the Nest App into Google Home for all devices? Moreover, there should be a way to access my Google Home footage with a laptop.

Yes this is extremely frustrating.  Many people in previous threads have brought this up.  It is especially frustrating because the older NEST app and web-viewer let you do this and the interface is fantastic.  If you have new NEST cams you are out of luck.

I also have this issue. I pay for the Nest Aware Plus but have no way to download the videos of my property that I pay google to store. I tried to do a takeout of my data with no luck. How does this comply with any of googles data practices if I can't download and save my videos of my house? 
I unsubscribed from nest aware BTW. Worthless service if the videos aren't accessible to me. 
Time to switch to Unifi.

Forgot to mention I was told "they could submit a feature request for me" on the phone.
What? Haha, google pays a bunch of engineers a ton of money to remove features. I would never have purchased the floodlight camera if I had known it didn't work in the NEST app. 
Also - No website or desktop way for me to view cameras? The Nest App is leaps and bounds ahead of Google Home, but google is forcing people to switch and they lost my business.

@TLike I agree. Not sure why they would retire the Nest app that was practical and well designed.

Yes I still need assistance. I need to get the videos that I own off of googles servers where I pay for storage. 

Please provide an answer on how to do this.

  • Open the Google Home app

Google Home app

  • At the top right, tap your account.
  • Tap Feedback 

and then

  • tap the type of device you'd like to submit feedback for.
  • To display available emails, in the "From:" section, tap the arrow on the right. Select your email address.
  • In the feedback summary, write a brief description of your issue.
  • Be sure to check the box for Screenshot and System logs.
  • To submit feedback, at the top right corner, tap Send
