Hi, unable to figure out how to make the outdoor cameras last more than a week. It gets about 12 to 20 events a day, have everything on default. Summer or winter, although did get a message once for to cold and might reduce battery life last winter. Tried both 2.4 and 5ghz.
Not even once was I able to get close to the 3 months, let alone 1 month. Most ever was 2 weeks.
Got a pretty strong WiFi router, get full bars and they are about 20 feet to 40 feet from the router..
Prior that, I had Blink Cameras on the same WiFi network. Battery operated Blink cameras at that, and nearly lasted 2 years. About 20 months into it got messages about low battery on some of them.
I am really disappointed in the performance, bought a total of 9 cameras between the two homes, and same thing. Does not last in either place.
What else can I do? Main reason I’ve got em, because of good experience I’ve had on two wired Nest cameras, first gen, and Blink battery one were ok. But these perform very poorly.
I can’t believe that all of em are faulty. So what gives.

Hello DamirD,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community and sharing all the details about the issue. I’d be happy to help you with the Nest camera. Let’s check it out.
To completely isolate the battery issue, let’s reset the cameras to factory settings. Please note that this will erase all data from the devices.
Let me know how it goes.
All the best,
Lance
