Battery Nest Doorbell will not factory reset

We've had our doorbell for about a year with no problems. It suddenly disconnected from the Google Home app. I figured it needed to be charged. Took it down tried to charge it, it would not charge. Did the 5 second reset on the back doorbell comes on but still not connected to the app. I thought maybe it needed a WiFi refresh so I decided to do a factory reset by holding the button down for 12 seconds. It will not reset. The white light comes on at 5 seconds and stays on no matter how long I hold down the reset button. No yellow light, no blue light.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Doorbell is not performing the factory reset. I’ll be more than happy to assist you. 

Before we continue, I have 2 questions:

  • What model of Nest Doorbell do you have?
  • Have you tried to do the factory reset while the Nest Doorbell is connected to a charger?
