How can I see my nest cam battery on my MacBook Pro?

For now you can’t.  Nest cameras sold new these days are Google cameras and only work via a smart phone.  There is zero integration with alarms, computer websites, Amazon Alexa.  But google feels you should have chrome tv integration and is heavily working on those updates.  You probably won’t see a website integration for another 8 months, maybe.  But you’ll have chrome tv channel changing abilities.

Thanks...    I was using the older Nest Outdoor Cam and the associated cloud service and that worked great on Mac.  I've been using the Battery Cam on Google Home for about a week and I'm not impressed.  Once an event is triggered the MAX recorded footage is 3 minutes and it rarely records longer than one minute. (even when the Battery Cam is plugged in)   Ill be returning them.    Any other recommendations?   I need to monitor 4-5 cameras in on a laptop at the same time and need full-time cloud recording services, not 30 second clips.  Wonder why Apple and Google are so far behind in Home Automation.  That should be a HUGE market for them and they are both stumbling.     Ken

My only suggestion is do what I do.  Find them on the market. Stay with Nest Cameras not Google Nest cameras.  For now the nest cameras work wonderfully with the nest app, webpages.  Remember Google started as a search engine and bought nest.  Think about it?? Why would Google enter the market of cameras, doorbells and security?  To collect information.  Ever see the new smart exercise machines?  They run google Android, why? To collect more information.  Nest was founded by Tony Fadel the inventor of the iPod. Had nothing to do with Google

Good advice.  I have 6 original Nest Cams and do like the app.  I'll start looking.  Many stores seemed to be sold out.  Ive always found Google to be too complicated...   Apple, while sometimes dumbed-down, is easy to use and more important- easy to remember how to use...
