Best Wi-Fi Router for Nest Cameras?

RavenManiac

I'm at Witt's end trying to find a WiFi router that will reliably reach all of my exterior Nest Battery and Floodlight Cams. I'm currently using a Synology RT2600ac with (2) MR2200ac mesh points for a 3-story, 4,000 sq. ft. house, but this setup is just not cutting it. I even moved the primary router to a central point in the house with no success. An IT friend of mine suggested a single, centrally located TP-Link AX6600 WiFi 6 Gaming Router, but I'm open to suggestions.

Has anyone with (8) or more Nest Battery-based devices found any WiFi router (single or mesh) that will provide reliable 5Ghz connections in a larger home? Thanks!

Hello RavenManiac,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To know more about this issue, I’d like to confirm, what is the distance of your Nest Cameras from your Wi-Fi router? Try to switch to a 2.4 GHz network if your Nest product is installed far away from your router, or if you have a weak connection to your 5 GHz network. Try to switch to a 5 GHz network if you're getting a weak connection due to interference from 2.4 GHz household devices like cordless phones, baby monitors, microwaves, and wireless speakers.
