Blank (dark) image on Apple Watch notification (Nest doorbell battery)

I have setup a next doorbell (battery), when I receive a notification on the watch, it shows there is a picture, but the picture is blank, just a dark/grey image

Any ideas what I can be wrong here ?

Sorry for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I just wanted to make sure that your issue is addressed. I am terribly sorry to hear that you have had such a hard time with this! I would love to look into this issue further and help find a solution for you. First off, I have some questions I’d like to ask you.

  • Do you still need help with this issue?

  • What troubleshooting steps have you done thus far? 

  • Have you tried to restart your device if you haven’t already?

  • If the restart didn’t work, have you tried to do a Factory Reset? This would be a last resort option, but would clear out issues and the device would essentially be ‘brand new’

Yes it still does not work, still sends a blank image, your catch all reply really does not help here

not sure about the OP, but this is widespread and YES, the notifications on my apple watch are still blank.  Notifications work great coming from the Nest app, it's just the google home app notifications that do not function properly.

I am afraid at this time, we do not have a direct fix besides trying to restart your devices, make sure they are updated to the latest software, and hopefully soon we will have a fix. No ETA I am afraid, but I hope it is fixed soon. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

We’re now 2 months and counting from that post, what is the ETA for the iOS notification? Please can you ask the dev team the planned release date.
