Bought a new "Nest Cam" and it is designed NOT to work with the Nest App! Go figure.

I have 4 other nest cams (ranging from 1 to 5 years old), as well as numerous Nest thermostats and Protects. They all work wonderfully together on the Nest app. The legacy app is easy to use and well designed, unlike the Google Home app, which looks like something a child programmed. I bought a new camera for a second home and installed it a couple of weeks ago, before returning home, only to find I can't use it with the Nest app. I guess I can drive 300 miles and take it down and return it to Home Depot. I would have never bought had I known that a NEST camera wouldn't work on the NEST app! Have seen lots of other angry posts about this, and Google's response is "tough #$#". I'll be looking for a new smart camera/thermostat/smoke alarm solution. Talk about a company that's out of touch with its consumer base.

Hey folks,

Thank you for your feedback on this issue, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest Cams in the Nest App or available on https://bit.ly/3HtBgJC web app. I can imagine having to use two different apps at the moment is quite daunting, and could lead to frustration.

However, the new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support. I am more than happy to assist you further with this inquiry if you wish. Please let me know.

Best Regards,

Brad.
