Camera audio

Why is it on every one of my 4 indoor wired cams I have to hold it ear to my phone to hear anything and my mouth the the phone to even get my voice through the camera speaker. I try to turn my audio volume up on my phone and it acts as if I'm in a call and only call audio will go up. S21 ultra.

Hey there,

Restarting and factory resetting your Google Nest camera or doorbell will have different results:

Restart: Keeps all your settings, and it should reconnect to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever becomes frozen, has trouble reconnecting to the internet, or isn't working normally.

Factory reset: Erases all your settings and options, and restores its factory default settings. It will not automatically reconnect to Wi-Fi and you'll need to set it up again.

You can find this information, plus additional information on this process here.

Best Regards,

Brad

Well that doesn't really help me any. All 4 are brand new and all 4 do the same thing.

@BCarter90

Restarts or Factory Resets are always a suggestion as a troubleshooting step. However, I missed earlier that this is a Samsung device. I am gonna be honest, from what I have seen here in the forums, Samsung phones have been struggling with this issue for quite a while. I do not have any clue if and or when this will be fixed.

And that's why I'm considering switching to Apple. Hopefully I won't have any issues with Google home by doing that.

I have an iOS device and the Google Home App works just fine for me and my two indoor cams. I hope you can get it working.
