Camera limit?

Renosmusic

Apparently there is a 10 camera limit....but I have 13 registered in the same home and all are working just fine. I was looking to add 2 more outdoor ones but not sure if it will stop me from adding.

Hi there,

This is a community forum supported by other users and community specialist's so I can only tell you what Google states. There is a maximum of 10 cameras per home.

Have a look at the Google Nest help center link below.

The link that @Cathal_S graciously provided says you can have a maximum of 10 cameras in the same "home" in the Google Nest app. Google Nest does not seem to specify anywhere what the maximum number of cameras is for the Google Home app.  (I am just another Google Nest customer.)

Hey everyone!

Sounds good! Thanks for keeping us posted. Give us a shout if you have any questions.

Thanks for your help, Cathal_S, MplsCustomer and Brad.

Best,

JT

I don't doubt it says that, in fact I saw it says that. I am just saying that I have 13 and all are working perfectly. I am 3 over and it didn't ever stop me from adding even the 11th one. Strange.

@Renosmusic

Are any of your 13 cameras the newer Google Nest cameras released since the fall of 2021 that work ONLY in the Google Home app? Or do all 13 work in the Google Nest app? (Just wondering if that's the explanation, or if the limit of 10 is just a limit Google Nest does not enforce.)

I do not have any of the newer ones at all. All of them work in the Nest App.

All the ones I have are:

- Nest Doorbell Camera

- 6 Nest Indoor IQ Cameras

- 3 Nest Indoor Camera (black ones)

- 3 Nest Outdoor Cameras (not the IQs)

I even have a Home Hub Max that has the camera activated on it. So 14?
