Camera not getting enough power...

First of all: chose an issue category?  Those are the only categories?  None of them relate to my issue.  I chose the getting started category, but really not the issue.  That drop down input field needs to be fixed.

Google home app has sent me about 60 notifications now about the camera not getting enough power in the last day or 2.  I've checked the connection, it is clean and sound.  This seems to be some kind of hardware or software error, I guess it could be the connection, but I've checked it 3 times now.

Hi @ohreally,

Thanks for posting here in the community. I'm sorry to hear your Nest Camera isn't getting enough power. I'm happy to help!

To better understand the situation, I'd like to ask a few questions:

  • When did the inconvenience start?
  • What type of Nest camera do you have?
  • Has the camera been powered on?
  • What's the status LED light of your Nest Camera?
  • Have there been any recent power outages in your area?

In the meantime, let's check a few things:

  • Cable Inspection: Examine the power cable for any signs of damage, such as fraying or bends.
  • Camera Restart: Follow the instructions in the Nest Help Center to Restart your Nest Camera. Depending on the model you have.

Keep me posted.

Best regards,

Melany

Seems it started right after I installed the unit about a week ago.  Nest cam floodlight.  It has been powered on since install.  LED is green.  No recent power outages.  Contacts are 100% clean.  Have checked 3 times and cord end seems to bee well seated into the socket, held in magnetically and with security screw.  I haven't had a chance to try resetting it yet.

Hi @ohreally,

Thanks for the follow-up information.

Please follow these steps:

Let me know how it goes.
