Can Nest Doorbell Battery recognize when I leave/come home so it doesn’t record me?

Does anyone know if there is a way to not get video footage when you leave/arrive home? Kind of like how the nest thermostat recognizes that you are away from home so it puts your thermostat into eco mode. It would be nice to not get video footage when I leave/arrive home multiple times a day.

Hi Benny24,

The older wired Hello doorbell has a Home/Away Assist setting in the Nest app. Unfortunately, the newer battery Nest Doorbell only uses the Google Home app and there is not a setting to adjust for sensing presence. I can't think of any other way to not record like you want with that model doorbell.
