Hi i got this gen 1 nest doorbell for several years but removed by accident the assigned home from the google home app. I had to reinstall thermostate and all 3 nest protects using the nest app. This went ok.
i did several factory resets on the doorbell but the app keeps on saying that its still connected to another account..
whats the solution ? Thx for the help.

Eureka !. Leaving the hello doorbell without tension for 48 hours made possible to reconfigure wifi and the full installation as such. In my opinon a condensator is keeping the RAM internal memory active for a certain time. After 48h this condesator has run empty as is the RAM. Which can be a logical explainaton to this.
So I hope other people encountring this phenomenon, no oanic and dont throw away this nice doorbell but be oatient and follow above way of working

Did you use the "factory reset" instructions (not the "restart") instructions? Did you get the chimes indicated in the instructions and did the status light turn blue?

Yes I did.

I don't know what else to suggest. Normally, if the factory reset is successful and the doorbell chimes and its light ring spins blue and then flashes yellow and then the lights go out and then the doorbell chimes and the light ring starts slowly pulsing blue, that means the factory reset is successful and your doorbell is ready to be re-installed in the Google Nest app.

Hi , the factory reset works fine but during reinstall of the hello doorbell , it keeps on saying to first remove the previous account. I dont have access anymore to the previous account. I rezd in another post to leave the doorbell without tension for 48h and retry. Fingers crossed.
