Can the new (battery) door bells and cameras use the Nest app? Appears only Google home? Why😞

I got a new nest camera and nest door bell (battery versions)

They connect to Google home just fine but can these not use the nest app like the old ones? The nest app is so much better than Google home. I hope this isn’t so

Hi Matt,

It is my understanding that the Nest app is on the way out. Whilst I cannot be entirely sure, the trend seems to be a singular point of access for all devices on the Home app.
