My Nest doorbell has been slowly dying. Knowing that I was only a few weeks away from my annual renewal with Nest Aware, I navigated through the Nest app, found my annual subscription, and cancelled it. Then I replaced the doorbell with one from a different manufacturer.
Today I was charged $85.80 for the annual subscription I cancelled.
I went to my Google account, looked for subscriptions, and it says I don't have any.
I contacted Google support via phone and later got an email back saying I still had a subscription.
Via the instructions in the email, by entering through shop.google.com and there's the subscription still showing up. I cancelled again, going through the same steps of selecting the Nest Aware subscription and accepting that all video will be deleted.
I want a refund and to know that I will not face the same issue a year from now.

The best way to get support with this is to contact the Google Nest support team directly. To protect your privacy, we're not able to help with account and billing issues in this public community.

I already did that, only adding to my frustration. Their response was to tell me I never cancelled the subscription.
