Cannot reconnect Cameras

McLovin

Hi all,

I really need some support. I'm quite savvy when it comes to technology and networking but I'm stumped.

I successfully set up 2 nest cams with floodlights, nest battery doorbell, and 2 additional nest outdoor cams. They were all working through Google Home app.

For an unrelated reason I had to change my SSID and password. Now all I want to do is add the devices back to Google Home. I tried everything. I deleted my Home even and tried to start fresh again but I keep getting stuck at the reconnecting screen. It just keeps telling me to move closer to the device even though I'm right next to it. How do I go about adding these devices again to Google Home?

I would try removing the devices, restarting them and your wifi router

I've removed all the devices and started a new "home". I've reset the doorbell camera, but all I get is "try moving closer to the camera"!

I'm at a complete loss. Does anyone have a solution?

@McLovin

We have not had to change our SSID or password, but judging from other posts in this forum, updating either for a Google Nest device seems to be problematic.

Here's what Google Nest Help's website says:
