I have bought a new nest doorbell battery. I have downloaded the Google Home app, choose add and then it searches but nothing comes up. I then choose doorbell and scan the qr code, then it is trying to set up and after a while it fails.
I have tried to troubleshoot by factory resetting the doorbell, but nothing happens
what to do?

Hi Moib, just checking: You will want to add the doorbell to your Google Home app while it is being powered from a Power Adapter using the provided cable. Is that how you are doing it? Are the lights on the front of the doorbell doing anything?

I am experiencing the same issue. I am using the adapter and the light is white. It does not turn blue.

The only other thing I can think of is confirm you are on the newest version of the GOOGLE HOME app. The only way I know to do this is to go to the APP store and search for GOOGLE HOME. When you click on it there might be an 'udpate' button.

Thank you mdr2. I updated the GOOGLE HOME app to the latest version earlier today. No luck I'm afraid.

Wow,,, so frustrating. I'm running out of ideas.
1 Is BlueTooth turned ON on your phone? (not sure it needs it but it might).
2 Is the power adapter hefty enough? IE: high enough wattage? I'm thinking those little tiny iPhone adapters don't have enough power to fully run the device
3 Maybe try it with another family member's phone?
