Cannot setup new nest camera - Orbi mesh network

Just bought new Nest cameras and trying to setup using Google Home on an Orbi mesh network.  Already have 2 thermostats on the network and accessible via the Google Home app.  When I try to add one of the new cameras, it gets to "Preparing your device" then goes to "Trying to connect to an assisting Nest device".  Then eventually times out with "Can't connect to assisting device".  I noticed that the thermostat I assume it's trying to connect to keep disappearing from my routers attached devices when this is going on.  I have read about disabling 20/40MHz coexistence, disabling 5GHz, and beam forming is not an option with my router.  I have no idea what to do next except return the cameras, which I really do not want to do.

@masilvest

The failure of "connecting to assisting device" is a perennial problem reported in these forums for over a year.

Some customers report success by temporarily turning off all of their existing Google Nest devices during the install process. The idea--apparently--is to force the install process to let you select your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and enter your password, rather than trying--and failing--to get your Wi-Fi settings from another Google Nest device (an "assisting device").

Thanks MplsCustomer. Your suggestion led me to get them to work but I had to remove the thermostats from the home app all together then install the cameras and that did the trick. I reinstalled the thermostats and all it good.  Thanks again!

I'm glad you got it to work.  It's too bad customers have to resort to that to install a new device.
