I was wondering if Google / Nest would consider added a dedicated volume setting for the doorbell chimes / notifications? At the moment, there is a dedicated volume for alarms and timers - but the volume for the doorbell chime is the same as it is for music... I don't wanna listen to music very loudly - but when someone rings my doorbell - I want the chime to be loud so I won't miss it...
Basic feature that could be easily implemented I think? Who's with me?

+1. Wondering the same thing. Why can’t doorbell chime volume be manually adjusted?

That would be great. Especially since there don't seem to be no dedicated chime hardware (speakers) available for the latest doorbell (battery)

Hey folks,
Thank you so much for bringing this up to my attention! I like that idea, and I could see how it could be helpful. It is true that the Nest Doorbell (battery) does not provide an audible chime. A chime is not included, but when a visitor presses your Nest Doorbell (battery), you can hear an audible alert if you have compatible smart speakers or displays, like Nest Audio or Nest Hub. If you choose the optional hard-wired installation, it will work with your existing doorbell chime.
I'll will go ahead and submit this feedback forward for you. Thank you for all of your patience. Please let me know if you need further assistance on this issue.
Best Regards,
Brad.

Hi Brad, thanks for forwarding this. It is SO ANNOYING that I'm seriously considering to bring the Doorbell back to where I bought it (Google Store).
So please ''put an alert / priority'' on it (or send me 3 home mini's so I can set the doorbell up with these 3 mini's as a separate ''system'' ;-))

I agree! Was so excited about having this doorbell, but seriously frustrated at the chime on our home hubs being so quiet, anyone without the phone app won't hear it. Having to buy yet more Google products (i.e. more minis) to distribute throughout the house is galling to say the least.

In my humble opinion programming this has to be quite simple: IF source = doorbell, THEN chime volume on Nest Mini AND/OR Nest Audio = setting: 90%. Or something like this 😉

Exactly! But they can't expect the end user to worry about programming this themselves 😂

Same wish here. Dedicated preset of volume when doorbell battery rings. Feels like a missing basic feature.

Same here. I bought the Google Doorbell and Next Hub Max, thought it would be a hood combination. The alert and video feature works well. Whenever someone rings the bell, notification pops up on max hub. But the volume of the chime is so minimal that our family won't be alerted in first place, unless sitting right next near the hub max. My wife seriously considering return as the basic functions of a door bell is technically not there unfortunately.
