Changing Wifi

Has anyone at Nest ever tried to change to a new WIFI on an outdoor camera that is mounted 20' off the ground? Kind of difficult to get to the QR code. Why can't you just go into the settings and change wifi? Why so difficult. Now my doorbell doesn't work either because I need to change the wifi, but I have to remove it and bring it inside so I can plug it up so my phone will recognize it. I swear I will never buy another nest product again.

If your camera and doorbell are NOT one of the new Goggle Nest cameras or doorbells released starting in the fall of 2021, but instead are the Google Nest Outdoor Camera and the Nest Hello Doorbell administered in the Google Nest app, you are supposed to be able to go into Settings on the home screen of the Google Nest app, select Home Info, then Home Wi-Fi Help, and then select your camera or doorbell.

At least, that's what it says on this page on Google Nest Help: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9223711

You can get to wifi in the app, but it is like a new setup where you have to put in the QR code on the camera, it has to be plugged in close to your phone. If it doesn't connect to your phone, there are problems. The point is once it is installed and up and running, it should be as simple as changing wifi on an Iphone. Open the app, select wifi, pick the new one. The camera is registered to me so why not? The doorbell had to be brought in , completely reset to default , plugged up to a power supply then a full setup done again. Someone didn't think this through. It puts a really bad taste in your mouth when you go looking for new products and you remember the problems you had with something that should have been simple. My amazon Echo took 30 seconds to change the wifi. My gosund smart plugs all had to be reset to default and installed as new to change the wifi. I will definately choose anything amazon in the future just due to this experience.
