Connected to Another Account Error

In an attempt to make my new Nest doorbell operational, I deleted my Nest app and downloaded it again after many hours of other options.  Unfortunately I did not disconnect my various Nest products (thermostat, cameras) from the previous app beforehand.   Now when trying to reconnect these Nest products I receive the message during the reconnection process that my Nest cameras or doorbell are “connected to another account” and that is where my reconnection process stops. I have tried the “hard” reset with these devices to no avail. Do I now have a collection of useless Nest devices?
